Topps' Chrome Golden Boot Buyback page now identifies Erling Haaland as the 2025/26 Premier League Golden Boot winner and lists store-credit values for eligible 2026 Topps Chrome Premier League cards.
The program is a buyback in hobby terms, but it is not a cash-out path. Topps says collectors can bring eligible cards to participating hobby shops or use authorized mail-in partners, then receive store credit in exchange.
That distinction matters for anyone ripping Premier League Chrome, joining soccer breaks, or buying singles after the winner is known. The program can create a clear demand lane for Haaland base and parallel cards, but the value depends on the exact card type, participating shop rules, timing, and whether the card fits the eligible list.
Haaland is the player on the Topps page
Topps' program page names Haaland as the 2025/26 Premier League Golden Boot winner and says eligible 2026 Topps Chrome Premier League cards can be turned into credit. The page also lists 926 participating locations in its hobby-shop locator.
The official buyback explainer describes the structure in plain terms: buy 2026 Topps Chrome Premier League, collect cards of the leading goal scorer, bring eligible cards to a participating shop after the season, and receive store credit. If two or more players tie for the award, Topps says cards for all tied players become eligible.
Dave & Adam's and Sports Cards Direct both have partner pages for the program. Dave & Adam's lists mail-in submission through its Amherst, New York address, while Sports Cards Direct lists in-store and online submission options for UK collectors.
The credit table rewards scarcity
Topps lists four credit tiers. Base cards are worth $20, £15, or €15. Refractors are worth $40, £30, or €35. Numbered cards greater than /100 are worth $100, £75, or €85. Numbered cards /100 or lower are worth $200, £150, or €175.
The card list is broad across Chrome parallel types. Topps includes standard refractors, RayWave, Pulsar, Pineapple Blast, Prism, Geometric, Logofractor, numbered colors, Frozenfractors, Superfractors, and Rose Gold Logofractors in the eligible-category language on the program page.
The important check is not just whether the card says Haaland. Collectors need to match the card to the buyback table and the participating partner's submission rules before treating it as credit. Store policies can set practical limits even when Topps does not list a global redemption cap.
Store credit is useful, but it is still a constraint
For breakers and rip buyers, the buyback changes how 2026 Topps Chrome Premier League spots get talked about. Haaland cards now have a posted credit path, which can make Manchester City spots, player spots, or soccer singles feel more liquid than they did before the program page updated.
That does not make every rip safer. A buyback table applies only to eligible cards, in eligible condition, during the program window, through participating shops or mail-in partners. Topps also says the Chrome Golden Boot Premier League Buyback Program will end September 1, 2026, and shops should not accept trade-ins before the official start date.
Condition rules are looser than grading standards but not unlimited. Topps says cards do not need to be mint, but they must be in one piece, and ripped or altered cards will not be accepted.
What collectors should check before buying
The clean collector takeaway is to separate the buyback credit from the rip itself. A Haaland card with a posted credit tier is easier to value than a normal base card, but boxes, break spots, and singles still need their own price check.
Before buying into a Premier League Chrome break, check the format, team or player assignment, whether Haaland cards are live in that product, and how the breaker handles shipping. Before buying singles for the program, check the exact parallel, serial number, condition, eligible-player status, participating partner, submission deadline, and whether the payout is usable store credit for you.
The program gives collectors a useful benchmark. It does not turn a Chrome purchase into guaranteed value.
